Art Mistaken for Bomb in Brooklyn
Gawker is reporting that Japanese American artist Takeshi Miyakawa was arrested and will be held for a month after an installation he hung in a tree was mistaken for a bomb.
Miyakawa had been placing illuminated “I [Heart] NY” plastic bags around the city in honor of NY Design Week. “He wanted to promote a positive message,” protégé Louis Lim told The New York Times.
